Wyoming Department of Health Tobacco Youth Campaign

The youth smoking rate in Wyoming is 15.9% and current e-cig rate is 29%, which indicates a resurgence in tobacco usage in youth.

50% of Wyoming kids have tried vaping and, when asked about it, they don’t tend to think of vaping as being similar to tobacco products. They say, “It’s not smoking, it’s vapor,” because that’s the impression they’ve been given.

And, just like that, smoking or inhaling something is becoming socially normal again for a new generation.

Knowing this demographic is very engaged with social media and web, we had two goals in mind; One, equate vaping products to cigarettes/chew. And two, to increase awareness among youth that all of these (chew, vape, cigs) can be harmful.
